Nichole Acosta is a Brooklyn-based poet, performer, and carb counter. She enjoys bridging the gaps, between page and stage, identity and perception. “Throat on Fire” was published by The Soap Box Press in 2020 and can be purchased from her directly. *Limited copies remain.

Her work has also featured in "The Americas Poetry Festival of New York", "Diabetics Doing Things" and "This Is Not What I Ordered" podcast series "Connect. Politic. Ditto." and "Light" anthologies and TheMighty.com.

At age 11, she performed her first poem in front of a live audience at the Walt Whitman Birthplace. And in 2006, she finished in the top 15 out of 500 youth poets in the Urban Word Teen Poetry Slam. In 2013, she founded the collaborative performance collective known as the E.P.I.C 12 and self-published her first book of poems "Field of Fireflies." In 2014 she released her EP, "Fearless."
