Nichole Acosta is a master collaborator with experience leading cross-functional product teams and driving impactful change through digital health and poetry. Her background in product and project management and technical and creative writing informs her empathetic, strategic approach to driving successful change management and stakeholder partnerships.

Nichole is fueled by a passion to build a more accessible world with digital products that improve lives. She was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at age 18 and struggled with glucose management for a number of years. When she started wearing a continuous glucose monitor, and later pairing it with an insulin pump and mobile apps, the two game-changing products radically reduced the burdens of living with diabetes and inspired a career shift from digital project to product management. She enjoys staying in tune with the latest advancements in product, AI, health/medical research/tech through certification programs, industry conferences, and podcasts.

Nichole’s hunger for building impactful products and harnessing the power of data-driven collaboration has contributed to several successes throughout her career. At Mayo Clinic, she spearheaded the creation of a cross-functional product team that became an exemplar of how agile products could get quickly created and deployed. Her leadership helped position the organization as the global source of COVID information and innovation throughout the pandemic. View product management portfolio.

At Jumo Health, she managed content publishing, SEO writing and quality assurance testing for the flagship website and an award-winning B2B2C COVID clinical trial site, and launched and grew e-commerce revenue. At WebMD, she managed 30+ monthly continuing medical education project lifecycles and spearheaded operational efficiency improvements for the digital production team. Her work has been featured in renowned platforms such as "The Americas Poetry Festival of New York", "Diabetics Doing Things" and "This Is Not What I Ordered" podcast series  "Connect. Politic. Ditto." and "Light" anthologies and TheMighty.com

At age 11, she performed her first poem in front of a live audience at the Walt Whitman Birthplace. And in 2006, she finished in the top 15 out of 500 youth poets in the Urban Word Teen Poetry Slam.
